Østfold University College offers 60 subjects of study, including bachelor's degree programmes and master's degree programmes, in three regional cities - Fredrikstad, Halden and Sarpsborg. Østfold University College has approximately 4,000 students and 450 staff members. The Faculty of Business, Languages and Social Sciences is situated in Halden with about 800 students and an academic staff of about 45 people. Subjects of study include bachelor programmes in Economics and Business Administration and in Auditing, as well as a master programme in Organization and Leadership.
The academic staff of the faculty conducts research in economics, business administration, organization and leadership, political science, languages and intercultural communication. At present, the faculty has four PhD scholarships, and two of these PhD students are also enrolled in the National Research School in Business Economics and Administration.
