Aalesund University College (AAUC) is located in the Western part of Norway. AAUC has approximately 2000 students from which 500 attend the Department of International Marketing. The students at this department are distributed across five bachelor programs. These are Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Export Marketing, Bachelor of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of International Logistics and Bachelor of Retailing and Service Management. By August 2011 AAUC plan to offer a master program in International Business. Today the department has 16 academic positions. Several of the academic staff members already contribute to master programs offered in Engineering at the Department of Technology and Nautical Sciences. The academic staff of the Department of International Marketing conducts research in marketing, management, managerial accounting and economics.
Knowledge about international trading and cooperation is important at Aalesund University College in general and the Department of International Marketing in particular. Today the department cooperates with approximately 30 foreign universities, fronting exciting possibilities both for the students at AAUC and for foreign students coming to Aalesund.
The academic activities at Aalesund University College are organised in four departments. These are Department of International Marketing, Department of Health Sciences, Department of Life Sciences and Department of Technology and Nautical Sciences.
